⏳You can now earn from AI music legally.
ElevenMusic: create, publish, earn. Here's how it works.
This week’s edition is brought to you by:
ElevenMusic: AI music creation, publishing, & earnings in 1 place
Generate a track. Publish it. Get paid.

Most AI music tools stop at the download. You generate, export, and figure out distribution yourself.
ElevenMusic fixes this. Create or remix a track in the Studio, publish directly to their platform, and earn. No distributor, no middleman.
The model was trained on licensed data from Kobalt and Merlin. ElevenLabs already paid out $11M+ to voice creators using a similar payment infrastructure.
Earning requires Pro ($7.99/month annual) plus 11K lifetime streams and 50 followers to qualify.
Full disclosure: ElevenLabs is a partner. They licensed the training data (Kobalt, Merlin) and built earnings into a platform. I back that model.
BIG NEWS about the future of this newsletter is inside today. Plus: a new platform that lets you generate, publish, and earn from AI music in one place. And the 80s movie line that stopped being a cliche the moment I needed it most. Keep scrolling.
Now, let’s cut to the chase:

🛠️ AI MUSIC PRODUCTION CORNER
ElevenLabs paid $11M to voice creators. Music is next. Their new platform pays in 3 steps:

Most AI music tools stop at the track. You generate, you download, you figure out the rest yourself.
ElevenMusic is a different proposition.
ElevenLabs spun their music model into a standalone platform at elevenmusic.io, launching today.
You create or remix a track, publish directly, and earn per stream.
No distributor, no gatekeeper.
The foundation matters here: the model was trained on licensed data from Kobalt and Merlin.
Here is how to use the Studio:
1. Go to elevenmusic.io and create a free account.
2. Open Studio. You get two paths: write a prompt from scratch, or stack keyword chips (genre, mood, energy) to build your direction fast.

3. Add your own lyrics in the Lyrics field, or leave it blank and let the platform generate them. If you want no vocals, hit the Instrumental toggle.

4. Set your duration with the slider. Free tier goes up to 5 minutes. For a first pass, Auto works fine.

5. Pick your Writing Engine. Deep (xAI) gives more nuance. Fast (OpenAI) prioritizes speed. This level of model transparency is rare in consumer AI music tools.

6. Hit Generate. Expect 30 to 60 seconds. Free users get 5 tracks per day.
7. Don't want to start from a blank prompt? Go to Explore, hover any track from the artists already on the platform, and hit Remix. Shift the genre, the tempo, the mood. Your remix becomes a new publishable asset.
When you're ready: hit Publish, fill out your artist profile (name, bio, avatar), and your track enters the Explore feed.

Earning requires Pro ($7.99/month annual) plus 11K lifetime streams and 50 followers.
The threshold is designed to filter out spam, not effort.
ElevenLabs already distributed $11M+ to voice creators using a similar model. The payment infrastructure exists.

Starting next week, you'll get 2 issues a week instead of 1.
The Briefing (Fridays) is the new flagship:
High-signal news, tool updates, and 1 deep-dive story per week. The format is tighter and more analytical. Less link-dumping, more context you can use in 15 seconds per item.
The Workshop (Wednesday) keeps the tutorials:
One per week, production or promotion. Focused. No noise around it.
Why the split? One weekly issue tried to do everything at once. News and tutorials compete for attention in the same scroll.
By separating them, each issue gets to do 1 thing well.
You're not getting less. You're getting the same content in the format it deserves.

📰 LAST WEEK’S TOP 5 AI MUSIC NEWS
Missed last week’s news? I got you. Here are the top 5 AI music news:
We’re at the end!
Fletcher Reede spent an entire film fighting the one thing his audience needed from him: honesty.
Musicians do the same when they bury their voice under trends, effects, and safe choices.
The moment you stop treating truth as an obstacle, your work starts landing.

Stop engineering around your real voice. It is the only tool your listeners want from you.
Always rooting for you,
