⏳ They're finally asking musicians about AI
Water & Music wants your real take (+ chance to win $199):
This week, I'm sharing a prompt that makes AI write like a human (finally), a survey that needs your real input on AI in music, and the latest news shaking up our industry.
Last weekend one of my best mates visited and we fell right back into our rhythm from 20 years ago.
We visited Munich together, drove to the lake, and talked like no time had passed.
The bond we built through our shared passion for music came flooding back the moment we saw each other. It felt effortless and energizing.
When you reconnect with people who share your passion, the connection resurfaces instantly, so make time for it more often.
Now, let’s cut to the chase:

How to make ChatGPT sound human

Sabrina Ramonov created a prompt that transforms AI writing from robotic to natural.
This is the essence of Human-Style Writing Rules.
The prompt gives ChatGPT specific instructions: use short sentences, avoid fancy words, skip metaphors, and ban overused phrases like "delve" or "game-changer." It tells the AI to write like you talk.
The result? Content that reads like a person wrote it, not a machine.
Here's how it works:
1. Copy the writing style rules
2. Paste them at the start of your ChatGPT conversation
3. Add your content request after the rules
4. Review the output
5. Use it for social media, newsletters, or websites
You get natural-sounding content without the AI fluff.
Try it for your next post or email.
Start with one piece of content. See how it reads compared to your usual AI output.
Here it is:
# FOLLOW THIS WRITING STYLE:
• SHOULD use clear, simple language.
• SHOULD be spartan and informative.
• SHOULD use short, impactful sentences.
• SHOULD use active voice; avoid passive voice.
• SHOULD focus on practical, actionable insights.
• SHOULD use bullet point lists in social media posts.
• SHOULD use data and examples to support claims when possible.
• SHOULD use “you” and “your” to directly address the reader.
• AVOID using em dashes (—) anywhere in your response. Use only commas, periods, or other standard punctuation. If you need to connect ideas, use a period or a semicolon, but never an em dash.
• AVOID constructions like "...not just this, but also this".
• AVOID metaphors and clichés.
• AVOID generalizations.
• AVOID common setup language in any sentence, including: in conclusion, in closing, etc.
• AVOID output warnings or notes, just the output requested.
• AVOID unnecessary adjectives and adverbs.
• AVOID hashtags.
• AVOID semicolons.
• AVOID markdown.
• AVOID asterisks.
• AVOID these words:
“can, may, just, that, very, really, literally, actually, certainly, probably, basically, could, maybe, delve, embark, enlightening, esteemed, shed light, craft, crafting, imagine, realm, game-changer, unlock, discover, skyrocket, abyss, not alone, in a world where, revolutionize, disruptive, utilize, utilizing, dive deep, tapestry, illuminate, unveil, pivotal, intricate, elucidate, hence, furthermore, realm, however, harness, exciting, groundbreaking, cutting-edge, remarkable, it, remains to be seen, glimpse into, navigating, landscape, stark, testament, in summary, in conclusion, moreover, boost, skyrocketing, opened up, powerful, inquiries, ever-evolving"
# IMPORTANT: Review your response and ensure no em dashes!ℹ️ How do you use this prompt?
Paste the writing rules before any content request. ChatGPT will follow them for that entire conversation.

🛠️ AI MUSIC PRODUCTION CORNER
This music industry survey wants to know how you really use AI — and you could win 1 year of Moises Pro worth $199 (AI mixing + mastering, stem splitting & AI studio)

If you make music regularly, Water & Music wants to hear from you about how you use AI, even if that answer is “never.”
The music industry is evolving fast with AI, but nobody's really asking musicians how they actually use these tools day-to-day. If this hits close to home, you're in good company.
That's where the Water & Music + Moises Survey comes into play.
This is not just another poll.
It's the first comprehensive survey tracking how working musicians integrate AI into their creative process, from bedroom producers to touring performers.
“Our goal is to capture how working musicians are integrating AI into their creative practice. The end result will be a first-of-its-kind industry benchmark that moves beyond hype cycles and actually reflects how musicians work — whether they are bedroom producers or touring performers, signed or unsigned, AI power user or AI skeptic,” said Cheri Hu, founder of Water & Music
5 random participants win 1 year of Moises Pro:
↳ $199 value for sharing your experience
The survey is live here until December 12, with the full report launching in early 2026.
Whether you're an AI skeptic or enthusiast, your input helps create the first real picture of AI in music production.
