⏳ Stop writing lyrics with ChatGPT

This Claude skill writes 10x better ones in 5 minutes:

You paste your story into ChatGPT. Out come slipped through my arms, turned pain into melody. The same 10 lines that already sit inside 1,000 other songs.

You record the track or feed them into an AI music generator. The track sounds like everything else on the platform.

A Claude skill fixes this:

The skill runs your raw story through 6 stages and builds a 4-5 person songwriter council for your song.

Different council for every story.

  • A country breakup pulls Lori McKenna, Chris Stapleton.

  • A drill track pulls Future, Andre 3000.

  • A K-pop hook pulls Max Martin, Sia.

  • A surreal indie song pulls Bowie, Yorke from Radiohead.

  • A gospel ballad pulls Stevie Wonder, Andraé Crouch.

Output comes back as a lyric sheet with meta tags baked in.

The skill is NOT trained on any song lyrics. It's an instructions file for Claude.

It teaches Claude how e.g. Dylan stacks images, how Bowie cuts and recombines lines, how Lennon strips ornament, how Prince hides depth under wordplay.

Craft patterns get passed to Claude on every run. No lyrics get copied or stored.

Your story stays your story. The lines come from you.

Here's how to write your next song:

Step 1 - Download the song-lyrics SKILL.md file.

Step 2 - Open a new chat on Claude.ai or Claude Desktop.

Pick Opus 4.7 and turn extended thinking on.

Step 3 - Pick a path:

One-time use: drag SKILL.md content into the chat.

Permanent install: Copy and paste my skill content and turn it into a new skill inside Claude.

Step 4 - Use the skill:

If you installed the skill, trigger with /song-lyrics and add your story. If you attached the file, paste your story under it.

Write the story as a scene. A real moment, a room, a sound, a name, what someone said. Skip "a breakup" or "feeling lost".

Add genre, rhyme preference, or structure if you have one. Skip if not.

Step 5 - Read the output aloud:

If a line bores you, ask Claude to rewrite it against Stage 5 of the skill. Repeat until every line earns its place.

Stop writing your song lyrics into with.

Write your next song through Dylan, Kendrick Lamar, and Bowie.

P.S. Quick heads-up: I'm rebuilding aimusicpreneur.com from scratch with Claude Code (boy I can’t wait to get rid off wordpress). The relaunch drops in 1–2 weeks and changes how you use the site — a much-improved tool directory, a real knowledge base, cleaner navigation, and separate homes for reviews and tutorials so nothing gets buried. This is the version I always wanted to give you.
